Dear Colleagues,
The Local Organization Committee (LOC) is glad to announce that the 10th EAWOMEN2 will be held at Qingdao, China in 21st and 22nd, Oct., 2021. The workshop is going to provide a platform for East Asia Scholars and studies to exchange their recent ideas and researches in the field of marine environment and energy.
The workshop was originally organized by the Korean Society for Marine Environment and Energy (KOSMEE) & the Research Committee on Marine Environment, Society of Naval Architects of Japan (MEC-SNAJ) in 2003. In 2005, Taiwan attended the workshop, which was extended by East Asian Workshop for Marine Environments (EAWOMEN). In 2009, the workshop was extended to four parties because of China’s attendance, Name of the network was changed to EAMEN2 for including marine energy in 5th EAWOMEN held in Japan, 6th in China, 7th in Taiwan, 8th in Republic of Korea, and 9th in Japan again. This workshop has been held every 2 years and the coming 10th EAWOMEN2 will be held in Qingdao, China.
In the wake of the COVID-19 a global pandemic, the LOC in close consultation with the President Keyyong Hong and the International origination Committee (IOC), has made a difficult decision to move to an online/offline parallel Conference, replacing the original plan in China. Our main concern is the health of everyone involved. As the pandemic continues to affect all our lives, including various travel restrictions, we have taken this step to minimize the risk to us during this period of uncertainty.
According to the present travelling restricts, the Chinese domestic attendees could gather in Qingdao to hold an offline session. The abroad attendees have to communicate and deliver the presentation through an internet conference system, which will be announced as soon as it is preprepared.
